Who Are We?
Volunteering for Change is a consortium of partners across Harrow of Harrow Carers and our partners (listed below). Our aim is to enable and support individuals to make an impact through volunteering and gain real-life experience while within a friendly and supportive environment. We will empower you to learn new skills and put your existing skills to the test in a practical environment.
Who is The Programme For?
The service is for anyone within the Harrow area over the age of 18. We have created a centre of excellence through the skills of our partnering charities to attract individuals with specific needs.
What are The Volunteering Opportunities?
Opportunities vary from based on your particular requirements and skills. As you volunteer with us you will have the choice to get involved from a range of roles, services and activities.
It is our aim to help develop and make the most of your professional skills and confidence. We want to make a difference together, so tell us your interests and skills so we can work on improving the community in areas you truly care about. We will try to match you as closely to your particular area of interest as we can taking account of what you’re passionate about and what suits you the most.

Harrow Carers is looking for a flexible volunteer coordinator who has the ability, passion and enthusiasm to take a leading role in the ongoing development of our volunteer offer in support of carers living in Harrow.More Info
We are in search for an enthusiastic, motivated volunteer coordinator who can help grow and support our fantastic volunteer programme. If you are committed to and have a passion for making sure carers receive an excellent standard of service and support then you may be the person we are looking for! You will receive one to one support and guidance from our carers centre manager.
The volunteer coordinator will lead on volunteer initiatives that promote the Charity and offer an excellent standard of service to carers.
You will be required to travel around the borough visiting carers and engaging with the local community from time to time.
- Able to contribute to Harrow Carers vision and work as part of a team
- Able to continually develop our volunteer programme for the benefit of carers
- Able to lead on recruiting and supervising volunteers and their activities
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Honesty and integrity
