Role Overview:

The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Virtual Carers Centre (VCC) across five boroughs: Brent, Ealing, Hillingdon, Harrow, and Carers Network. This role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution, and delivering a high-quality digital support platform for unpaid carers. The postholder will also liaise with Carers Trust, Strategic IT Partner, local authority commissioners, and carers organisations to enhance carer support services.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Implementation

• Develop and oversee the VCC project plan, timelines, and key milestones to ensure successful delivery.
• Align project objectives with strategic goals and borough-specific requirements.
• Manage project resources efficiently to meet timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate the VCC Project, ensuring smooth collaboration among local authorities, Carers Trust and carers organisations.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact between local authorities, strategic partners, and carers organisations.
• Facilitate regular stakeholder meetings, gathering requirements and providing project updates.
• Ensure alignment and engagement across all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with unpaid carers so that the project is informed by them at all stages and wherever possible co-produced

Technology & Platform Development

• Collaborate with IT teams and digital service providers to design and implement the Virtual Carers Centre.
• Ensure the platform meets accessibility and usability standards for unpaid carers.
• Oversee platform testing, feedback collection, and continuous improvements before launch.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project impact.
• Ensure project data is collected, reported, and shared appropriately with all stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management.
• Gather feedback from carers and users to drive continuous improvements.

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify and mitigate potential project risks to prevent delays.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and accessibility regulations.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in digital transformation, social care, or healthcare.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
• Experience in implementing digital solutions and working with IT teams.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with local authority and social services structures (desirable).
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and accessibility standards.
• Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is a plus.

• Deputising for the CEO.

• Writing and contributing to new funding applications
• Monitoring and evaluating outcomes in line with contracts & KPIs
• Comprehensive and detailed report writing
• Monthly audit and review of our quality management system ISO9001 2015
• Carrying out audits and tracking of policy, procedure essential for the organisation
• Liaising with others on contracts and consortium-based projects.
• Providing managerial/HR support for Homeshare
• Safe recruitment and management of volunteers
• Maintaining health & safety in the workplace in line with legal responsibilities
• Maintaining facilities and premises in good working order and a high-quality state.
